Gamification

Orimora can reward consistent knowledge work with points, badges, streaks, and levels, surfaced on a team leaderboard. It’s designed to encourage capture and curation, and it’s fully optional per user and per team.

Activity such as creating and updating documents, capturing notes, and maintaining a daily streak grants XP. Accumulated XP raises your level, and streaks track consecutive active days. Reaching milestones unlocks badges.

When you earn a badge, level up, or hit a streak milestone, you get a notification (these event types can be muted like any other).

The /leaderboard page ranks teammates by XP, with streaks and earned badges. It’s a team-wide view of activity, not a private metric.

Under Settings → Admin → Gamification:

  • Enable / disable gamification for the whole team.
  • Badges: create and edit custom badges (emoji + criteria).
  • Points expiry: optionally expire points after N days (default 365) so the leaderboard reflects recent activity rather than all-time totals — or disable expiry entirely.

Each member can turn gamification off for themselves under Settings → Profile — points, levels, and leaderboard presence are then hidden for that account.
